Legoland

Another day in Del Mar led us to Legoland- thanks to Grammy, Pop and Uncle Joe who braved some miserable weather to spend the day with us there.  Coop's favorites of the day were various rides- driving a car, flying a plane and riding a pirate ship.  My favorite part was the intricate cities built out of legos.  I loved watching the trolleys move about in San Francisco, ships in/out of a harbor and the tall skyscrapers of NYC.

San Diego Zoo

San Diego had so much to do and see when we were there in July.  Actually, it was a good thing we had other adventures planned in addition to the beach, as the weather was a little too chilly to be at the beach all day.  We loved the San Diego Zoo- it lived up to its reputation.  We spent over 4 hours exploring the grounds, seeing all sorts of animals.  We even witnessed a cheetah walking on a leash down the street- a little too close for our comfort.  What a great place- cannot wait to go back and see the rest of it!

July 4th- Just a little out of order!

Well, as you can see, we are a little overdue and out of order for these blog posts.  In early July we headed to Del Mar for Laura Gaffney's (Mommy's cousin) wedding.  We spent the week prior to the wedding in Del Mar at a beach condo with Grammy and Pop.  Soon Uncle Joe and Aunt Meg joined us.  We were also thrilled to spend time that week with Mommy's cousin Jimmy Franzone , his wife Jennifer and his son James who is Tad's age.  Since then, actually on Labor Day, James was blessed with a baby sister Lucia! July 4th we played at the beach, in the pool (after a quick exit from Jimmy's beach as the tide quickly came in) and then enjoyed great fireworks from our very own balcony.

Tennessee Agricultural Museum

Not far from our house is the Tennessee Agricultural Museum which sits on a lovely piece of property with an old farmhouse.  On Saturdays in the summer they have lots of fun activities.  We introduced our friends Anna Claire and Anders to it one hot Saturday.  We got to pet several animals and even take a ride!!!  The Nashville Metropolitan Police Calvary Division horses are kept here- their stable manager is a great, friendly man who taught us alot about horses.

Fun Summer Activities

During the summer we did many fun things around town- visited various storytimes, puppet shows, parks and farms just to name a few.  Here i am helping out at the library- i was the baby tooth in the dentist's performance about good teeth hygeine.
