Much to my delight the rumors about Santa Claus are all true-he found me in San Antonio, filled my stocking and left numerous goodies for both myself and Ben. Although i have to admit, this Christmas the wrapping paper and ribbons are almost as exciting as the gifts themselves. Ben and I spent most of the morning supervising Poppi setting up the Geotrax set we had bought Ben. We were joined by the O'Briens, the Alvarez', the Rodriquez' and Chris. The adults enjoyed lots of wonderful food and wine. Ben helped demonstrate for me how big boys eat. It was a relaxing day filled with family and friends- a good end to our visit to San Antonio. There was not any eggnog, but as you can see there was plenty of good tidings flowing. Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve in the Bowles house is special for two reasons- not only is it the night Santa makes his visit but it is Grandy's birthday as well. Grandy's other sister, Carlyn came down from Austin for lunch. Not surprisingly given her profession, Carlyn and I read a book. I could not contain myself any longer- there were numerous brightly wrapped presents for me under the tree. I had to start unwrapping one, although have no fear, it was not totally opened until Christmas. As the tradition goes, we then headed downtown out to dinner with all the Bowles, O'Briens and the Lynns. Given the occasion my Santa Suit made a guest appearance. With all the anticapatory excitment surrounding Christmas and the bustling sounds in the restaurant, i took a great nap during dinner. -Don't worry though, i rallied for the later party. Afterwards, everyone came back to Grandy's house for birthday cake and birthday presents. Mrs Lynn was nice enough to spend some time with me on the floor, which i thoroughly enjoyed. I was much too tired for Midnight Mass with Mommy and Poppi, but i have a feeling they put in a good word for me with the man upstairs. I went to bed dreaming of Saint Nick....
Sea World

Although Sunday was a little chillier than we would have liked, we adventured to Sea World. I loved watching the seal/walrus show as well as the dolphins. Mommy, Poppi and Uncle David rode two rollercoasters (hopefully someday i will be able to fly through the sky yelling with my hands up). Ben was brave enough to have his photo taken with Santa Shamu.
My Very Social Day
On Saturday my social calendar was quite full. The morning started with a visit from Aunt Martha, Grandy's sister, who came to visit from Victoria, Texas. I entertained her with my rolling, giggling and smiling. Cousin Ben, Aunt Amy and Uncle David joined us for lunch. Ben was nice enough to share his Mommy's lap with me. That evening we had dinner with the O'Briens, Amy's parents, at one of Poppi's favorite barbeque restaurants, County Line. On the way home we stopped off to see the Wheelers, Cousin Jack's grandparents, prior to their departure to Dallas. They watched Poppi and James grow up and are now enjoying watching Jack. Needless to say, i was exhausted from all the visiting!
