Williamson County Fair

What a great August tradition-county fairs! This year we opted for the Williamson County Fair, a little smaller, quainter and tamer than others but perfect for us.  We rode on all sorts of rides- boats, bees, motorcycles and a catepillar rollercoaster.  We even rode live horses! Of course no fair is complete without a visit through the farm exhibit, petting numerous critters and seeing baby pigs who were only several hours old.  We had a wonderful time!

Celebrating the Nashville Police Horses

One Saturday in July when Daddy was working we went to the Tennessee Agricultural Center for a celebration of the police horses.  The officers demonstrated for us how they train the animals for things such as crowd control, breaking up a bar brawl down on Broadway.  We even had a chance to sit on the animals.  Very beautiful creatures...

Sundays are sundae days

One of our favorite new traditions this summer is making Sundays icecream sundae nights! Yummy... as you can see henry struggles sometimes to make it to mealtimes, Coop can be in costume on occasion and I am all about eating the sundae!

Showing Grammy and Pop the Trains at Cheekwood

Early July we shared a weekend with Grammy and Pop.  We introduced them to the Trains at Cheekwood.  It was a warm, but wonderful weekend.  Grammy and Pop had just returned from meeting our newest Gaffney cousin Teo! We are anxious to play with him as well.

Happy July 4th!

We continued a wonderful weekend with the Wheelers by spending the day at Percy Priest Lake.  We built sandcastles, swam in the lake and watched the boats.  That evening the grownups enjoyed a spectacular U2 show at Vanderbilt Stadium.  July 4th the Damps joined us for barbeque and sparklers.  As you can see Anna Claire and Anders have a new addition in their house- welcome baby Miles!
